My name is Stacey, YOUR READING TUTOR, and I have been helping students close the achievement gap and IMPROVE their confidence levels. After graduating with my masters degree in Education, I was able to acquire certifications in Special Education, Business and Marketing. I entered into the amazing industry of Education and fell in love with making a difference in growing the minds of my students. I learned early on that students struggle academically for different reasons. I have been a Reading and Executive Functioning tutor at the K to 6 level since 2010.

As a mother of 3 and a grandmother I have always incorporated customized reading strategies to meet the needs of each of them. I watched my daughter have her own experience with being a struggling learner. Acquiring a tutor for her for additional support helped her to regain self-confidence and improved grades. Reading is the foundation of everything we do in life. As this is a key value I have instilled within my children, I also brought this value to my classroom.

After more than 2 decades of supporting and improving the confidence and reading levels of numerous students over the years, NKE Tutoring & Consulting was born. I have been helping students, like your child, not only IMPROVE their GRADES but GAIN self CONFIDENCE and LEARN the SKILLS necessary to move forward. I believe learning should be customized for students and meet the unique learning style of each.

What sets my program apart is my customized process. I begin with an offer of a FREE Reading Assessment to families. I then provide a customized learning plan inclusive of checkins to ensure my scholars are grasping and retaining what they have learned with the ability to effectively apply it and successfully move forward in their learning environment.
