I’m Rose — an online chemistry tutor with over 18 years of experience helping students from all around the world succeed in chemistry. I specialise in IB, GCSE, IGCSE and A-level curricula and have worked with hundreds of students to bridge the gap between complex theory and real-world application, whether in lab settings, daily life, or tough exam questions.
I don’t just provide academic support; I help students who are frustrated or disengaged rediscover their confidence and curiosity. Many even end up loving chemistry by the end of our sessions!
As a fully vetted member of The Tutors’ Association (UK), I bring internationally recognised qualifications and uphold the highest standards of tutoring. I'm a Finalist in the National Tutoring Awards 2025, hosted by The Tutors’ Association, UK.
I’ve tutored over 600 students, primarily from the US, Europe, and a few from Eastern and Middle-Eastern countries. With over 20,000 hours of tutoring since 2007, I’ve refined highly effective teaching techniques that make even the most complex topics feel approachable. My students often experience 2 to 3 grade-level improvements in just a few weeks or months. Many go on to gain admission into competitive programs in Medicine, Pharmacology, Biomedical Sciences, and STEM fields — including placements in Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, and top programs at Karolinska Institute and University College London.
I embrace all learning styles and use an innovative mix of tools like 3D molecular models, virtual labs, PHET simulations, chemistry games, animations, and real-world problem-solving workshops. Lessons are engaging, interactive, and tailored to each student’s pace and understanding. My sessions are a space for support, encouragement, and honest conversation. I work through academic struggles, but also help students manage anxiety and build resilience.
Each student's journey begins with a detailed consultation. I assess their learning style and struggles, and continuously refine our lessons to target gaps and track progress.
What truly sets me apart is the relationships I build. I prioritise creating a safe, judgment-free environment where students feel understood and supported, not just academically, but emotionally. I listen, adapt, and encourage, helping students move past anxiety and self-doubt toward confidence and academic success.
